Privacy Policy

EliteEdgeFB (“we”, “us”) is operated by Illumined Analytics. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the EliteEdgeFB application, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to app.eliteedgefb.com and the EliteEdgeFB application.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password in readable form.

Content you provide

We store the coaching data you put into the service, including play data you import from spreadsheet exports (play names, play type, down, distance, yards gained, formation, coverage, opponent, and game date), your playbook, and the games, drives, and plays you log during a game. This is team and play information — it is not about individual players.

Billing information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive and store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your subscription status, and billing event history. We never receive or store your full card number. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.

Technical information

We collect information sent automatically by your browser or device, including your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. We also generate a random device identifier stored on your device, which the app uses to ensure only one device records a live game at a time.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the service: storing your playbook and play data and generating analytics and play-calling recommendations.
• To authenticate you and keep your data separated from other users’ data.
• To process subscriptions and handle billing.
• To detect and fix errors, and to protect the service from abuse and excessive automated requests.
• To understand which features are used so we can improve them.
• To contact you about your account, billing, or material changes to the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your play data to train models or to build products for other teams. Your coaching data is used to serve you.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser storage for essential purposes — keeping you signed in, remembering your device for the single-recorder feature, and caching game state so the app stays responsive on a sideline connection. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure usage. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the service.

4. Service Providers

We share information with a small number of providers who process it on our behalf. Each receives only what it needs:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account and coaching data.
• Netlify — application hosting and content delivery.
• Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
• Sentry — error monitoring, which may include your IP address and browser context in an error report.
• Upstash — request rate limiting, which processes an identifier derived from your IP address or account.
• Google Analytics — aggregate usage measurement.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or of Illumined Analytics. Your data is stored by these providers primarily in the United States.

5. Student-Athlete and Minor’s Data

EliteEdgeFB is designed for coaches, not for athletes, and accounts are intended for adults. The service does not ask for and is not designed to hold records about individual players. The data we store describes plays, formations, and game situations — not named athletes, rosters, or individual performance records.

Please do not enter student-identifiable information into free-text fields such as play names or notes. Records about students may be subject to laws such as FERPA, and the service is not intended to be a system of record for them.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a minor’s information has been provided to us in error, contact us and we will remove it.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Every user’s records are isolated at the database level so one account cannot read another’s data, passwords are hashed by our authentication provider, and administrative access is restricted and requires a second credential. No service can promise perfect security, but we treat your coaching data as confidential and design accordingly.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can, at any time:

• Delete imported play data — remove an individual upload or clear all imported play data from within the app.
• Delete games — remove a game and its complete play log from your game history.
• Correct your information — update your account details in the app.
• Request a copy or deletion of your account — email us and we will provide an export of your data or delete your account and its associated data.
• Cancel your subscription — manage or cancel billing through the customer portal in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account and coaching data for as long as your account is active. When you delete data in the app it is removed from our live database; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify you by email or in the application. The date below reflects the most recent update.
